Sour Cream Pound Cake

Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine 1/2 cup vegetable shortening 2 1/2 cups sugar 5 eggs 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 (8 oz.) container sour cream 2 teaspoons vanilla

Preparation

1. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter, shortening, and sugar. Add egg and beat. 2. Add flour, sour cream, and vanilla. Mix until well blended. 3. Spoon into greased and floured tube or bundt pan. Bake at 325° F for 1-1/2 hours or until tests done with toothpick.
